this replaced one that wore out. The design takes getting used to because it slants down in front. That allows for easier removal as does the lift lever. Our old one wore out, and we replaced it with a standard GE model. As soon as we did, everyone complained they missed the T-Fal, so I bought another.

The toaster works great. A handle on the right side, that lifts the toast, broke almost immediately. I was amazed at that quality of the plastic housing – very cheap.

Half Baked
I purchased this toaster with great expectations… boy, was I disappointed. It only browns half a slice of bread.

It works but not well. The toast is frequently unevenly cooked. While the ergonomics of the slant to help retrieve toast there are other features that don’t work very well. The “stop” button is in the middle of three, making it hard to find in a toast-burning emergency. Also the identical levers for cooking toast and levering-it-out-once-done trick me into thinking they are both levers for pushing the toast down for cooking. I almost broke it when in a non-thinking moment I depressed both at the same time.
Overall a disappointing toaster.
