    Junk
This toaster is absolute junk. I bought it 2 years ago… and it definitely was not used very regularly. First, it only toasted one side of the bread.

I bought this Cuisinart toaster about a month ago. Previously, I owned a cheap Toastmaster two slice toaster that I had since college.

This toaster is compact but has everything you could need. It has slots wide enough for homemade bread and bagels, a reheat and defrost button and a cancel button. It is a very powerful toaster for sandwich bread. The first time I used it I was too excited to read the instructions first so I set the LED dial at 5 which was the level I used on my Toastmaster. That was a mistake because I burnt the toast crisp. This toaster I only have to set to a 2 to get my toast a nice brown shade. It really puts off the heat. I don’t eat bagels so I can’t say how it does on them. On Toaster Strudels it works well at a level 4 or 5 setting.

I love this toaster and would buy it again!

    I’d buy it again
This is everything you expect in a toaster that costs $27. It is average looking and makes average toast. The darkness settings need to be adjusted to your preferences.

Have been using the new toaster for about a month. Pros: Nice clean look. Cons: 3 major complaints. 1) It runs way too hot. We initially set it on #4/5, thinking that was middle of the road doneness. Unfortunately my toast looked like it had been cooked in molten lava. We are now using #2 and it seems OK, but I can’t get the toaster waffles to come out right. (In case you are wondering, Yes, I read the manuals that come with appliances). 2) Slots not long enough. I am not buying “Special” bread, just stuff off the racks at the local supermarket and it doesn’t fit in the slots. The toaster will handle a “girthy” bagel, but not a wide piece of bread. Weak. 3) The dial is really lame. You think a high-tech LCD readout when buying the toaster, but its really just a lighted dial.

Bottom Line: The toaster works, but I would not buy it again, nor recommend it to others.

    Good Value
A good value for a simple toaster. Doesn’t fit extra large slices of bread well but is perfect for all the regular uses.

Everything it should be 2 months later
Its a toaster, it toasts. That’s good in my book. It lifts up a little higher than other toasters to make taking it out easier… my the evolution of toasters.

    Love, Love this toaster
For a while now, I’ve been looking for a replacement for my simple 10 yr. old 2 sliced toaster since it’s become inconsistent.

    So far, so good
After searching for a U.S.-made toaster at a reasonable price (there don’t seem to be any at ANY price), I scoured the reviews of various makes.

    bring back the old
Good price but old fashioned toasters work better. Bread toasts uneven .. top part of toast is mushy like its micro waved…need to turn over and put in twice…

    Cuisinart Toaster
I was in the market for a toaster and wanted a white one. I was going to get a cheapy but I got a gift certificate from Amazon for Mother’s Day. So, I purchased the Cuisinart.

    Not good
Thought that the brand would be some assurance of quality but this thing makes one side of the bread black and the other side is not toasted.
